MARY ANN TICKELL SCOTT,
SISTER OF THE ABOVE.
OCT. 1847. ----- JULY 1922.


In 1881 Mary Ann Scott was living with her three sisters & their widowed Father, a Brewers Agent, at Highton House, The Green, West Ham.

Mary Ann Tickell Scott, by will proved 1922, gave to the vicar of St. John's, Stratford, £400 in trust for the maintenance of the church fabric. BHOL

Mary Ann Tickell Scott, by will proved 1922, gave £1,000 in trust for gifts at Christmas to 25 poor women, aged over 60 years and communicants of the Church of England. In 1953 the income was £35, which was distributed in cash to 18 persons. By 1971 the income was being used for the maintenance of the graves in the churchyard of St. Mary's, Wanstead. BHOL

The large cross memorial in the churchyard commemorates Joseph & Caroline Scott, Mary Anns parents, as well as Mary Ann & her sister Caroline.

There is also a memorial to her father, Joseph, elsewhere in the church.
